Oliver lives with her paternal aunt. Her parents fled their home district because it was attacked by Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army. Now they have no land, so they must rent. They do not have enough money to provide for all of their children, and this is why she stays with her aunt.

Oliver fetches water in the amount of five liters at a time for the family. She told us that she loves skipping and learning about math. She dreams of someday being a doctor.
